How do you separarte yourself from someone who has taken the place of a soulmate... when they arn't supposed to and can never fill that place properly, yet you love with an incredible emotional attachement?

How do you separarte yourself from someone who has taken the place of a soulmate... when they arn't supposed to and can never fill that place properly, yet you love with an incredible emotional attatchement?

Why would you want to? Really you can never replace someone in your life. So you have someone you love with an "incredible emotional attatchment", yet you want to separate yourself from them. There must be something else you are not telling here.
